How to Register and Open an Account

Open the Livin’ app, then select Open My First Account

Prepare your e-KTP or passport, then tap Continue

Risks and Fee

  • To avoid account opening failures, before opening an account through Livin' by Mandiri, please ensure that: 
    • You do not already have a product with Bank Mandiri.

    • The data you have entered matches the source data.

    • Your document photos are clear (not blurry/cropped/damaged).

    • Your photo matches the one on your ID card. 

    • Your internet connection is stable

    • Your email and mobile number are not already registered with Bank Mandiri

  • You must use a mobile number other than an Indonesian mobile number to be considered a customer residing overseas. 
  • When opening an account through Livin' by Mandiri, you may be charged the following fees: 
    • Initial deposit and physical debit card issuance fee of IDR 100,000.00

    • Idle funds fee of IDR 25,000.00

    • Savings account administration fee of IDR 5,000.00 per month

    • Card administration fees vary depending on the debit card you choose, ranging from IDR 1,000.00 to IDR 8,500.00

Frequently Asked Questions

Online account opening through Livin’ by Mandiri can be done anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.​

You are eligible if you are one of the following:​

          An Indonesian citizen (WNI) residing abroad who:​

  • Has an e-KTP registered with Dukcapil (Indonesian Civil Registry).​

  • Has never been a Bank Mandiri customer, or has closed all previous accounts.

    An Indonesian citizen (WNI) abroad with:​

  • A valid passport and a KMILN (Indonesian Overseas Card) issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.​

    A foreign national (WNA) who is:​

  • A former Indonesian citizen, a child of a former Indonesian citizen, or has one Indonesian parent.​

  • In possession of a passport and KMILN issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.

It can be done in countries listed in the Supported Countries List provided by Bank Mandiri. 

  • An active phone number to receive OTP (One-Time Password) for verification​

  • A valid email address to receive OTP (One-Time Password) for verification

Make sure the data entered in the app matches your physical document (e-KTP or passport) exactly.​

Make sure the SMS sender is ‘BANKMANDIRI’ and the email is from noreply.livin@bankmandiri.co.id, not from any other phone numbers or emails, including those claiming to be from Bank Mandiri. Also, ensure the country code prefix matches the country code you have selected. Do not share your OTP with anyone, including those who claim to be from Bank Mandiri.

Make sure to use an active mobile phone number from a foreign provider to receive the SMS OTP for registration verification.

Use the ‘Resend OTP’ option to get a new 6-digit code and enter it correctly in the verification field.

There will be up to three attempts allowed. It must be ensured that the person performing the face verification is the same individual opening the account. If it still does not match, the account opening process cannot proceed.

You can use either SIM 1 or SIM 2, as long as the selected number is from a foreign provider and is active.

When registering on Livin’ by Mandiri, customers will automatically be issued:​

  • A Tabungan NOW (NOW Savings Account) in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).​

  • After the NOW account is created, customers can add a Personal Multicurrency Savings Account.

Yes. The account will be automatically activated once the customer successfully passes the verification process, and completes the initial deposit.​

After successfully opening an account via Livin’ by Mandiri, the account number will be displayed on the Home screen of the app. It will also be sent to your verified email address.

No, customers will not receive a passbook for accounts opened online. Transaction history and balance information can be viewed through the Livin’ by Mandiri app.​

You can make your initial deposit using international money transfer services such as:​

  • Wise​

  • MoneyGram​

  • Western Union​

  • Orbit Remit​

  • Local Remittance providers

Yes, you can perform transactions using the Livin’ by Mandiri app once the initial deposit is received, even before the debit card arrives.​
