What's the Virtual Account Collection?
Virtual Account Collection or VA Collection is a Cash Management service solution from Bank Mandiri to assist customers in issuing bills automatically and more efficiently. Through this service, bills that have been issued can be paid directly through Bank Mandiri’s payment channels, such as ATM’s, Livin’ by Mandiri, Branch offices or other Bank owned channels, and reconciliation can be done through Kopra by Mandiri.
What are the features offered from VA Collection?
- Can be used by billers with close payment and open payment bill types.
- Billers can create through two easy and flexible methods:
- Manual Input: Customers can fill in bill information directly in Kopra by Mandiri according to transactions needs.
- File Upload: Customers can upload bill files in .xls, .csv or .txt format according to the template provided.
- Billers can monitor the entire billing process through the VA Collection dashboard on Kopra by Mandiri.
- There is a notification feature that can be sent tot he Livin’ by Mandiri application to facilitate customers in making bill payments.
- Billers can download villing reports in .xls, .csv or .pdf formats according to customer needs.
- There is Customize table feature that allows billers to displays information according to their preferences to be displayed in the table.
What are the benefits of using VA Collection?
- Ease in the process of identifying and reconciling bills automatically.
- Bill Reminder feature as a bill reminder for the payer.
- Bill Payments go directly to the account specified by the biller.
- Ease of bill payment process that can be done through Bank Mandiri channels and other banks.
What is the fee for using VA Collection?
Billers are not charged for using the VA Collection menu, transaction fees will be charged to the payer when making payments through the Bank Mandiri payment channel with a fee of between Rp2.500 - Rp5.000 according to the agreement between the biller and Bank Mandiri.
What are the procedures and requirements to be able to use the VA Collection service?
VA Collection can be used by billers who have registered as IBS billers, and have a Kopra Cash Management company ID, and have massive revenue transaction needs. Billers can register for VA Collection services by filling out the form generate parameters or registering through:
- Relationship Manager;
- Officer Wholesale Funding Transaction; or
- Transaction Banking Region.
What are the risks of using VA Collection and how to mitigate them?
- Biller creates bills to payers who are not registered with the biller.
Mitigation: in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Mandiri Bill Reminder service, the biller guarantees and is responsible for the truth and accuracy of the Bill Reminder data submitted by the Biller to Bank Mandiri. All losses and impacts arising from data errors are the responsibility of the Biller. - There is a time difference when payment is made by the payer and when the bill status is updated in the Kopra system, which can cause confusion or questions from related parties.
Mitigation: The system will perform the reconciliation process automatically on the next day (D+1). Payment status can be accessed and monitored through the VA Collection menu or dashboard on the Kopra platform.
