Bank Mandiri to Facilitate PNBP Payments to Ministry of Transportation
Jakarta, 23 January 2017 - Bank Mandiri will provide banking services so as to facilitate Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) payments to the Ministry of Transportation. The services to be provided by Mandiri will facilitate the making of payments by the users of services provided by the Ministry.
The related Memorandum of Understanding for the Provision and Use of Banking Services was signed by Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, and Bank Mandiri CEO, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, at the Ministry of Transportation Building in Jakarta on Monday (Jan 23).
Through this partnership, Bank Mandiri will provide banking solutions for the making of PNBP payments electronically by the users of Ministry of Transportation services, such as through Mandiri Internet Banking, Mandiri ATMs, Mandiri branches and Mini ATM/Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machines.
Kartika said that the collaboration reflected Bank Mandiri’s support for the Ministry of Transportation’s efforts to create a transparent and accountable state-revenue system, in line with the implementation of Simponi/MPN G2 (Online Non-Tax State Revenues Information System / Second Generation State Revenues Module).
“We expect that this will also help the government in its endeavors to increase state revenues, which is essential for the national development process and to improving people's welfare,” said Kartika.
Currently, Bank Mandiri provides a range of transactional services in the wholesale segment, including Trade Banking, Bank Guarantee and Cash Management services, with the Bank’s fee-based income amounting to Rp 1.1 trillion in the January-November 2016 period.
