Mandiri and Pertamina Launch Co-branded Mastercard Product

Jakarta, 26 January 2017 - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and PT. Pertamina (Persero) have launched their new Mandiri-Pertamina Mastercard product -- the first credit card to be issued in Indonesia that is specifically aimed at the gas-station sector.
Bank Mandiri Senior Vice President, Credit Cards Group, Vira Widiyasari, said that the new card was aimed at harnessing the abundant opportunities related to fuel purchases at Pertamina gas stations. As such purchases are currently dominated by cash transactions, it is hoped that Pertamina customers will be encouraged to switch to card-based transactions using the new card.
Through this partnership between Mandiri and Pertamina, transactions at the pump will be easier than ever, while customers will gain a number of benefits by using the new card, including no surcharge and double fiesta points for every Rp 20,000 spent, plus free fuel upgrades every Sunday at Pertamina Pasti Prima gas stations.
“We hope that the public will pay ever more frequent visits to the gas station and become loyal users of the Mandiri-Pertamina Mastercard in paying for their fuel,” said Vira during the launching ceremony for the Mandiri-Pertamina Mastercard in Jakarta on Thursday (Jan 26).
The launch of the new credit card reflects the active roles being played by Bank Mandiri and Pertamina in supporting the Government’s program to create a “cashless society” through the National Non-Cash Movement.
The key benefits provided by the Mandiri-Pertamina Mastercard to users are as follows:
- No surcharge
- Double fiesta points for gas station transactions and 1 fiesta point for other transactions.
- Free fuel upgrade every Sunday at Pertamina Pasti Prima gas stations.
- Instant redemption at Pertamina gas stations.
- Premium-free accident insurance of up to Rp 1 billion, and 24-hour emergency tow-truck assistance.
Customers whose applications for a Mandiri-Pertamina Mastercard are approved before 30 June 2017 will receive the following additional benefits:
- Welcome bonus of 20 liters of free fuel (cash back)
- Free e-money and balance top-up of Rp 100 thousand.
