That Flashy Cars Turn Out To Be Part of Mandiri Mobile Ad
The controversy that erupted on 12 July 2012 over two super luxurious taxis in the form of a Ferrari 360 Modena and a Porche Boxster 8 appears to now be over. It turns out that the two “taxis” were not in fact real taxis, but rather were used as part of the commercial of Mandiri Mobile aimed at iPhone and Android users.
The Grand launching of Mandiri Mobile took place in Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/7). Bank Mandiri Director of Micro & Retail Banking Budi G. Sadikin said that the taxis were part of Mandiri’s marketing strategy and denied that their use amounted to deception of the public. He said it was a reasonable and normal marketing exercise.
